My name is Brandon Olson. Im a 17 year old racer from Sturgis SD. I race a 1997 YZ 250 in the 450 and open amature classes. I have been racing since 1999 when I was 8 years old. Since the year 2000, I have placed in the top 5 for my local track championship points every year, including a championship win in 2001. Racing has been what I put most of my time into since I started. I think that my love for the sport has made me a better racer, and has kept me on the right track. I would like to thank Swint LED lights, Richter Tire and exhaust from Sturgis SD, Iverson Construction of Sturgis SD, my mom and dad, My grandpa for the great bike builds, Ray Priestly, and my brother Tony for all their help throughout my racing career. It has been a big help, and I would have never gotten this far without them.E-MAIL: olsrace@hotmail.com

Flat track racing certainly is a unique sport, our youngsters usually get pulled into super cross and at their teen years road racing. Providing better schedules and more opportunities for sponsorship will allow kids like Aidan RoosEvans to continue pitching it sideways and climb the ladder to the professional ranks.
Aidan, age five, took on the sport last year from his hometown in Illinois. Learning how to race a motorcycle on a PW50 is not the only skill these kids face. Much social skills including accepting defeat and respecting other riders on the track are simply traits that cannot be taught at the dinner table.
Right out of the gate, Aidan made friends, friends from all over the United States. Giving the riders a thumbs up and a good luck shout before leaving the starting line, gave others a boost a self confidence. Aidan rode extremely well despite minimal time on his motorcycle and finished the series at the top of his class.
